Public Computer Access

The Library has a limited number of public computers available to the general public during operating hours. These computers are free to use and you do not need to make an appointment.

We have free wireless available in and around the library – please note this is an open network. If you have any problems connecting, please ask staff for assistance.

 

Public wifi network

  1. The library’s public wifi network is available to everyone
  2. Wifi users must accept the Fernie Heritage Library’s Public Access Terms and Conditions in order to use the network.
  3. The library’s wifi network is an unsecured connection. Use of the network is at the users’ own risk. Those using the network are responsible for ensuring that their device is equipped with up-to-date security software.
  4. The Fernie Heritage Library assumes no responsibility for any compromised information or loss through use of the public wifi network. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Electrical surges;
  • Disruption of wireless service;
  • Loss or theft of equipment;
  • Security issues, hacking and viruses.
